SMS Notifications Regarding changes in Personal Details

The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Ministry for Health (ODPM), is continuously refining security and transparency in its hospital systems. As part of this, Mater Dei Hospital sends updates using SMS notifications to the mobile numbers registered in the hospital patient administration system (CPAS). The sender will show as MDH on the recipient’s phone.
The process is two-fold:

1. ONE-TIME SMS NOTIFICATION

As from the 12th March 2025, MDH is sending an SMS to each mobile number registered in the hospital system (CPAS), notifying the details of the individual. This SMS is sent to the public in batches, according to patients’ recorded date of birth on the hospital system (CPAS). Mobile numbers which are newly registered in the hospital system are sent the one-time sms as well. The text of the SMS text from MDH, reads:

“SMS notifications for Mater Dei appointments for John Doe ID ending 99M will be sent to this number. If you are not the correct recipient or have queries, please contact us on e-mail: 📧 [email protected] or visit🌐 health.gov.mt/health-care-services-sms-notifications/
