Malcolm Paul Agius Galea was born on August 12, 1982, the son of Paul and Theresa. He attended Naxxar primary school and later St. Aloysius College, where he completed his secondary and Sixth Form education.

He studied medicine and surgery at the University of Malta between 2000 and 2005. He worked at St Luke’s and Karen Grech Hospitals, as well as Mater Dei, where he was part of the Emergency team during the transition from one hospital to another in 2007.

He specialized as a family doctor, and in 2010, he also obtained a Masters in Family Medicine. As a family doctor, he worked at the Raħal Ġdid health center for several years, and from 2012, he continued to work in the private sector, primarily in Ħaż-Żebbuġ and its surroundings.

Malcolm contested the Local Council elections in Ħaż-Żebbuġ in 2019, where he was elected mayor. He contested his first general election in 2022, in the 6th and 7th districts. After being elected, he was appointed Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for Health.

In 2024, he was appointed Parliamentary Secretary for Active Aging within the Ministry of Health.

Malcolm is married to Juanita, an anesthetist, and together they have three sons, Adam, Noah, and Jacob. They reside in Ħaż-Żebbuġ.
