The hospital number serves as a unique patient identifier for administrative and clinical record management purposes and will be used for all subsequent interactions with Malta’s National Health Services.
Please note that the allocation of a hospital number is an identifier only and does not confer entitlement to free healthcare. Eligibility for healthcare services is assessed separately and may require the submission of additional documentation, including an S3 form where applicable.
Applications for a hospital number must be submitted to the PMI Office by email at [email protected] using this form. Copies of the required official documentation must be attached.
